Cyber Security - Level 5 and 6

Cybersecurity course offers a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s high-demand cybersecurity industry. Our curriculum covers essential topics such as network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, and incident response.  The course provides opportunities for earning industry-relevant certifications and offers robust career support services to help students succeed in securing lucrative and fulfilling cybersecurity careers.

This course is designed to equip a cyber security operator with the competencies required to perform computer repair and maintenance, apply cyber security laws, policies and regulations, perform computer networking, software application security, database security and security assessment and testing.

The course consists of basic, common and core units of learning as indicated below

Duration

  • level 5 takes 2 years
  • level 6 takes 3 years

Assessment

The course is assessed internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an accredited internal verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET CDACC.

Certification

  • On successful completion of a Unit of Learning, a trainee is issued with a Certificate that acknowledges the achievement of that competence. 
  • On successful completion of ALL units of learning, a trainee is awarded an ICT Technician Certificate qualification.
  • These certificates are issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with KTVC
